Every path leads to the same place: the surrender-based method, a real facilitator credential, and the confidence to hold Breathwork for real people. You learn safe, trauma-informed facilitation and the business side of filling your first rooms.
Whichever format you choose, you train directly with Ryan and Shelby in a small cohort, and you keep the graduate community and mentorship long after your final day.
We built the online cohort for people who can't travel, or who simply want to start online. Whatever your reason, it gets you there. That said, if you can make an in-person intensive work, we always encourage it. Breathing in a room with your cohort is something a screen can't fully recreate.
The closest training is in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, June 11-13, 2027. Venue TBD.
Getting there is one flight. Southwest goes nonstop from MCI to Milwaukee, and both cities keep Central time. When we start at 9am, your phone says 9am too.
Friday to Sunday, 9am to 6pm. Be in the room by 8:45 on Friday, so a Thursday flight is the easy plan. We bring snacks. Meals are on you.
Want an earlier date? Atlanta runs March 19-21, and MCI flies there nonstop too. Atlanta is an hour ahead of KC. Find it under "See all" with the other trainings.
Kansas City International sits 15 miles northwest of downtown Kansas City, Missouri, up in Platte County. Its new single terminal opened in 2023.

Taking the train? We haven't checked how the two trains line up. Book a night in Chicago or Milwaukee instead of a tight transfer.
A Kansas City June runs mid 80s by day at KCI. Milwaukee in June is mid 70s by day, high 50s at night, so you trade some heat for lake air.
Lake Michigan cools the lakefront more than the rest of town. Pack a layer for the evenings.

Breathwork certification for the Kansas side of the metro is the same trip. Overland Park, in Johnson County, is the second-largest city in the state and the biggest suburb of the metro. From there, or from Kansas City, Kansas, you fly out of MCI like everyone else.
From anywhere in Kansas, there's also the train. The eastbound Southwest Chief stops at Topeka and Lawrence before dawn, then rolls through Kansas City Union Station on the way to Chicago.

Omaha, Nebraska has no nonstop to Milwaukee. Eppley Airfield does fly nonstop to Atlanta for March, and to Phoenix for the Phoenix dates.
For June, drive south on I-29 to MCI and catch the Southwest nonstop there. I-29 runs north from Kansas City through St. Joseph, Missouri to Council Bluffs, just across the river from Omaha.

Ryan and Shelby co-teach the whole weekend. The curriculum has three parts: your own breath practice, the art of facilitation, and the business of Breathwork.
Your own practice comes first. You can't hold space for someone in a place you've never been yourself.
Then you guide, trauma-informed. The person on the mat sets the pace and you follow it. You learn who should skip a session, how to screen, and when to ask before any touch.
The business side covers pricing and filling a room, for anyone who wants to teach around the KC metro. Mentorship keeps going after Sunday. 55 students enrolled to date.
Back home, take the practice outside: Swope Park, Loose Park, or a bench by a fountain on the Country Club Plaza.
