What To Expect From Liquid Breathwork

Everyone's experience is personal. While no two sessions are the same, you may find this information helpful. Many people feel less anxious and notice a drop in stress after practicing with us. Some describe our sessions as giving them a sense of peace they haven't felt in a long time.

Our breathing exercises and techniques often help reset the nervous system and offer relief from ongoing tension or chronic stress. People also say they feel more balanced and clear-headed.

Therapists have started recommending our breathwork in Phoenix and Scottsdale as a valuable support for their clients. Several have noticed their clients can access deeper feelings during counseling after taking part in our classes.

Some somatic breathwork practitioners have tried our class and noticed a clear difference. They appreciated that our sessions have no set plan and truly support you wherever you are in your process. Techniques like Soma+IQ, Holotropic Breathwork, or even the Wim Hof method often feel more intense or push a stronger energy. Liquid Breathwork, on the other hand, sits comfortably in the middle, letting you move at your own pace and choose what feels right for you.

If you want to explore breathwork in Arizona, join us in person or online. Our community is always ready to welcome new faces.

Common Questions

Breathwork Classes FAQ

How much do Breathwork classes cost?

Drop-in Breathwork classes are $33. With a Liquid Breathwork Membership ($17/month), each class drops to $17. The membership also unlocks a full library of guided Breathwork audio sessions and the Breath Fundamentals course. New members get a free 7-day trial with no commitment required.

What should I wear to a Breathwork class?

Wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing that lets you breathe freely. You'll spend most of the session lying down, so layers and anything that lets your belly expand fully works best. Pillows and eye masks are provided. Bring a yoga mat or blanket if you have one, though we have extras on hand.

Do I need experience to attend a Breathwork class?

No experience needed at all. Our classes welcome complete beginners alongside longtime practitioners. Ryan or Shelby guides every student through the breathing technique step by step. Most first-timers notice a real shift in their stress levels and mental clarity within a single session.

Where and when are Breathwork classes held?

Liquid Breathwork holds weekly in-person classes across the Phoenix metro area including Scottsdale, Tempe, Mesa, and the East Valley, plus sessions in Flagstaff, Prescott, Tucson, and Lake Tahoe. Online classes are also available. Check the schedule above for current locations, dates, and times, or email us if you're looking for a class near you.

What can I expect in my first Breathwork class?

Plan on about 90 minutes total. You'll start with a brief orientation, then move into a 45-60 minute guided Breathwork journey lying on a mat with an eye mask. The session includes live sound healing and Reiki. Afterward, there is time to rest, integrate, and share if you'd like. Many people feel a deep calm, emotional release, or heightened clarity. Every experience is unique and completely yours to navigate at your own pace.

Is Breathwork safe?

Yes. Liquid Breathwork uses a gentle, surrender-based approach that works with your nervous system rather than forcing intensity. Our co-facilitator Shelby Von Oepen is a Registered Nurse (RN, BSN), bringing clinical safety awareness to every session. We do ask that anyone with a history of cardiovascular conditions, seizures, or recent surgery check with their doctor first. Full contraindications are listed on our booking page.
