What You Walk Away With

Every path leads to the same place: the surrender-based method, a real facilitator credential, and the confidence to hold Breathwork for real people. You learn safe, trauma-informed facilitation and the business side of filling your first rooms.

Whichever format you choose, you train directly with Ryan and Shelby in a small cohort, and you keep the graduate community and mentorship long after your final day.

We built the online cohort for people who can't travel, or who simply want to start online. Whatever your reason, it gets you there. That said, if you can make an in-person intensive work, we always encourage it. Breathing in a room with your cohort is something a screen can't fully recreate.

Breathwork Training From Louisville: Fly South or Drive North

Kentucky doesn't have one of our trainings. The two closest sit on opposite sides of Louisville, Kentucky, one a flight south and one a drive north. Pick the month that works and the way you'd rather travel.

Atlanta (March 19-21) comes first. Delta flies it nonstop from SDF, and the clock reads the same at both ends. You can drive it too. Plan on a long day south on I-65 through Nashville, then I-24 and I-75 through Chattanooga.

Milwaukee (June 11-13) is the road trip. Take I-65 north past Indianapolis, then work your way around Chicago. Milwaukee is on Central time, so you pick up an hour on the way up.

Each one runs Friday to Sunday, 9am to 6pm, and neither lands on Derby weekend. Be in the room a few minutes before nine. We bring snacks. Meals are yours to sort out.

In person in Atlanta

Three days face to face with Ryan and Shelby. You lead breathers on the mat while they coach you through it.

Leave I-65 for another trip. Twelve weeks of live calls with Ryan and Shelby, plus recorded lessons, take you through the same curriculum.

Getting There From SDF

Muhammad Ali International shares its field with UPS Worldport, so expect cargo jets out the window.

  • Atlanta by airDelta is the only airline flying SDF to ATL nonstop. Once you land, MARTA's Airport station is right at the Domestic Terminal. Ride the Red or Gold line north through Five Points to Midtown.
  • Milwaukee by carNo airline flies SDF to Milwaukee nonstop, and no passenger train leaves Louisville. So it's most of a day's drive north on I-65 and around Chicago. Leave room for Chicago traffic.
  • Phoenix by airEyeing the Phoenix cards above? Southwest flies SDF to Phoenix Sky Harbor without a stop.

What to Pack for March or June

Atlanta in March gets highs in the mid 60s and nights in the mid 40s. Your days will run several degrees warmer than March back home. It's also one of Atlanta's wetter months, so throw a rain shell in the bag.

Late March is when the tree pollen peaks down there. Most of that yellow film on parked cars is pine. Good to know before three days of deep breathing.

Milwaukee in June sits in the mid 70s by day and the high 50s at night. That's close to 10 degrees cooler by day than a Louisville June. Pack a warm layer for the evenings.

Coming from across the South

Kentuckiana spans both banks of the Ohio. Open the one closest to home.

Across the river: Southern Indiana

Jeffersonville and New Albany, in Clark and Floyd counties, are part of Kentuckiana, the Louisville metro that covers both sides of the Ohio. If you've walked the Big Four Bridge over from Waterfront Park, you know how close Jeffersonville is.

Your trip matches downtown's. SDF is the airport for the Atlanta flight, and the Milwaukee drive starts up I-65 on your side of the river.

For a class on the Indiana side first, see Breathwork near Jeffersonville and near New Albany.

From Lexington and across Kentucky

Looking for a Breathwork certification for Kentucky? It's these same two trips. Lexington and the Bluegrass sit right on I-75, the road that runs south through Chattanooga to Atlanta. Drive it, or fly from SDF or your home airport.

Northern Kentucky, up by Covington, flies out of CVG and faces the same choice: Atlanta in March or Milwaukee in June.

One more option is Washington, D.C. (May 21-23). SDF has nonstops to Reagan National, Dulles and BWI.

Closer to home, see Breathwork near Lexington or our Kentucky class list.

What the Certification Covers

Your own breath comes first. You work the method on yourself, then learn to guide one person, then a full room. All five modules are laid out in the curriculum.

It's trauma-informed the whole way through. Consent, boundaries and nervous system awareness show up in every session you guide. So does safety: who should sit a session out, and how to bring someone down gently.

Then the business side. Pricing, filling your first classes, and what to do the week after you certify. Your first group might be friends from the Highlands, or people you pass on the Scenic Loop in Cherokee Park.

Mentorship keeps going once the three days end. So far 55 students have enrolled.
