Every path leads to the same place: the surrender-based method, a real facilitator credential, and the confidence to hold Breathwork for real people. You learn safe, trauma-informed facilitation and the business side of filling your first rooms.
Whichever format you choose, you train directly with Ryan and Shelby in a small cohort, and you keep the graduate community and mentorship long after your final day.
We built the online cohort for people who can't travel, or who simply want to start online. Whatever your reason, it gets you there. That said, if you can make an in-person intensive work, we always encourage it. Breathing in a room with your cohort is something a screen can't fully recreate.
Liquid Breathwork is an Arizona-based Breathwork practice offering classes, private and corporate sessions, and facilitator certification, founded by Ryan McBurney and Shelby Von Oepen. Phoenix is home turf for us. Nothing we run is in Nevada, and we would rather say so plainly.
From the valley that leaves two honest options. Fly to the Phoenix area for three days in the room, Friday to Sunday. Or stay home in Henderson, Summerlin or anywhere else in Southern Nevada and train online.
Harry Reid (LAS), the old McCarran, sits about 5 miles south of downtown, and Southwest is the biggest carrier there.
LAS to Phoenix Sky Harbor is about 75 minutes nonstop on Southwest, American or Frontier, and Scottsdale is a short drive from Sky Harbor. Driving? US 93 is the shortest route, about 290 miles over the Hoover Dam bypass bridge and through Kingman.
Salt Lake City and Reno are each about an hour and a half nonstop, and Reno to South Lake Tahoe is about an hour by car. Breathwork certification for Nevada readers means crossing one state line: Arizona, Utah and California all border Nevada.
The Phoenix area runs about 8 to 10 degrees warmer than home in the cohort months: mid 70s in November against upper 60s here, about 70 in February against low 60s. Pack for warm afternoons and cool nights.
Lake Tahoe in August: highs near 80, mornings near 40, and almost no rain, more than 20 degrees cooler than an August afternoon at home. Salt Lake City in April: low 60s by afternoon, low 40s at dawn.
Three notes for the valley, the drivers, and the neighbors up north.
Green Valley, Anthem, Summerlin up against Red Rock Canyon, the Arts District on a First Friday: wherever you are in the valley, Harry Reid sits in the middle of it, about 5 miles south of downtown. That is the point. Any Phoenix-area training is one short flight from the airport you already know. Henderson is Nevada's second-largest city, about 16 miles southeast of Las Vegas, so budget the drive to LAS like any other trip out. Dates and prices live on the certification page.
If you would rather drive, US 93 is the shortest way between Las Vegas and Phoenix, about 290 miles. You cross the Colorado River on the Hoover Dam bypass bridge, run down through Kingman, then pick up the Joshua Forest Scenic Byway toward Wickenburg before the road drops into the Phoenix area. Check the drive time in your maps app before you decide. The upside is your own car for the three days.
Reno and Carson City readers have their own pages: Reno and Carson City. From LAS, Southwest flies nonstop to Reno-Tahoe and to Salt Lake City, each about an hour and a half. From RNO, South Lake Tahoe is about an hour by car for the Lake Tahoe training in August, on the California side of the lake. The Salt Lake City training is in April. Both are exact dates and venue TBD.
