What You Walk Away With

Every path leads to the same place: the surrender-based method, a real facilitator credential, and the confidence to hold Breathwork for real people. You learn safe, trauma-informed facilitation and the business side of filling your first rooms.

Whichever format you choose, you train directly with Ryan and Shelby in a small cohort, and you keep the graduate community and mentorship long after your final day.

We built the online cohort for people who can't travel, or who simply want to start online. Whatever your reason, it gets you there. That said, if you can make an in-person intensive work, we always encourage it. Breathing in a room with your cohort is something a screen can't fully recreate.

Why Milwaukee in June

June is lake season in Milwaukee. Days sit in the mid 70s, the lakefront runs cooler, and the Oak Leaf Trail is right there when you need a walk after a long day of breathing.

The training runs Friday to Sunday. Arrive by 8:45, breathe at 9, wrap up around 5.

We expect most of the room to drive or ride the train up from Chicagoland. If that's you, our Chicago page covers the trip. The Midwest blocks further down cover Wisconsin, Michigan and the Twin Cities.

Between sessions, downtown, the Historic Third Ward and Bay View are easy places to stay and eat. Lake Park, Frederick Law Olmsted's design on the bluff above Lake Michigan, is a good place to let a session settle.

Want to try Breathwork classes in Milwaukee first? Our Milwaukee near-me page lists what's around.

Getting to Milwaukee

Milwaukee Mitchell (MKE) is the airport, with nonstops to Phoenix, Washington Reagan, Atlanta, New York (LaGuardia, JFK and Newark), Salt Lake City and Seattle. Schedules change, so check your airline.

From Chicago, take the Amtrak Hiawatha: 7 round trips a day (6 on Sunday), about 1 hour 29 minutes from Chicago Union Station to Milwaukee Downtown, with stops at Glenview, Sturtevant and Milwaukee Airport. Cheaper flight into O'Hare or Midway? Fly there and ride the train up.

Downtown, The Hop streetcar runs from the Intermodal Station (where Amtrak arrives) through the Historic Third Ward, with one transfer there for the lakefront line.

June on the Lake

June normals at Mitchell run mid 70s by day and high 50s at night, with about 4 and a half inches of rain across the month. Locals say "cooler by the lake": this is when the lake breeze shows up most, and the lakefront can sit well under the inland number. Pack a layer and a light rain shell.

One note on hotels. Summerfest runs three long weekends from late June into early July. If our weekend lands near one, book early.

Coming from across the Midwest

Milwaukee is the one Midwest city on our 2027 calendar, so a lot of the room will be coming from a few hours out. Open the block that fits you.

From Madison and the rest of Wisconsin

Madison is the shortest trip: I-94 east, straight into downtown. The Amtrak Borealis does not stop in Madison, but if you're near Wisconsin Dells, Portage or Columbus, it runs once a day into Milwaukee Downtown, with a stop at Milwaukee Airport after.

If you've been searching for Breathwork teacher training in Wisconsin, this is our only training in the state for 2027. We don't hold a Madison date or a second Wisconsin Breathwork certification. Come to Milwaukee, then take it back to Madison, Green Bay or wherever home is.

Want a class before the training? Our Wisconsin near-me page lists what's around the state.

From Chicago and northern Illinois

The Hiawatha leaves Chicago Union Station 7 round trips a day (6 on Sunday) and reaches Milwaukee Downtown in about 1 hour 29 minutes, with stops at Glenview, Sturtevant and Milwaukee Airport. It's an easy ride.

Driving, it's I-94 the whole way. Check your maps app for a Friday afternoon before you decide, because the train is usually the calmer choice.

Our Chicago page has the full plan for Chicagoland, including the other trainings closest to you.

From Michigan and the Twin Cities

Grand Rapids and West Michigan: the Lake Express high-speed ferry crosses from Muskegon to Milwaukee in about 2.5 hours on the water. It runs seasonally, so check the 2027 schedule once it's out. Michigan is an hour ahead of Wisconsin, so the clock only moves about 1.5 hours westbound.

Twin Cities: the Amtrak Borealis runs daily from St. Paul through Milwaukee on its way to Chicago, so you can leave the car at home. Our Minneapolis page covers the trip and the other trainings closest to you.

What the Training Covers

Three days on the method itself: our signature Liquid Breathwork session, breath holds, cueing, and how to open, structure and close a session for one person or a full room. The full curriculum is on the hub page.

The pacing is trauma-informed. Your breather sets the depth, and we never chase a big release. You learn to notice when someone needs to come back slowly, and how to bring them there.

Safety gets its own time: contraindications, waivers and insurance, consent around touch. Then the business side, from session rates to your first rooms, in Southeastern Wisconsin or back home in Chicagoland. Mentorship with Ryan and Shelby continues after.

Flying in from the South? Our Nashville, Dallas-Fort Worth and Houston pages show the trainings closest to you.
