Every path leads to the same place: the surrender-based method, a real facilitator credential, and the confidence to hold Breathwork for real people. You learn safe, trauma-informed facilitation and the business side of filling your first rooms.
Whichever format you choose, you train directly with Ryan and Shelby in a small cohort, and you keep the graduate community and mentorship long after your final day.
We built the online cohort for people who can't travel, or who simply want to start online. Whatever your reason, it gets you there. That said, if you can make an in-person intensive work, we always encourage it. Breathing in a room with your cohort is something a screen can't fully recreate.

Most in-person Breathwork certifications in the US run $3,000 to $10,000+. We price ours so a yoga teacher, nurse, or coach can say yes without financing a car.
I've invested just shy of $20,000 in Breathwork training. That covers the SOMA Breath certification, several Wim Hof Method® programs, a live event with Wim himself, and an in-person somatic Breathwork training.
It also covers 21 days camping in the Baja desert near Cabo with Dan Brulé, who has taught breathing for roughly 50 years. That retreat shaped the surrender-based style Liquid Breathwork is known for. My fourth certification was a five-day retreat in the Netherlands with Kasper van der Meulen of Breathwork Masterclass, his final one, which Shelby and I took together.
Some of the priciest programs taught me what I didn't want to teach. In our Breathwork facilitator training, the breather sets the pace, nothing is forced, and we guide through gentle surrender, never forced catharsis or screaming.
Live certification runs from about $1,500 to over $10,000. Pause Breathwork has been quoted at $7,000 to $8,000 on sales calls, and SOMA's published tiers are in our SOMA Breath review.
Recorded video courses cost the least, but nobody watches you facilitate. Among live programs, our online cohort at $1,497 is at the low end.
