A three-day in-person Breathwork certification intensive in South Lake Tahoe, California. Immersive, hands-on facilitator training where you learn to guide surrender-based Breathwork and earn your credential.
The August 2026 Lake Tahoe cohort has concluded. Certification continues with our Phoenix intensives and the 12-week online cohort.
The Lake Tahoe Breathwork certification was a three-day, in-person facilitator training intensive held August 21-23, 2026, Friday through Sunday from 9am to 5pm, at Yoga Om Tahoe in South Lake Tahoe, California. Students learned to guide surrender-based Breathwork sessions through hands-on practice with Ryan and Shelby, earning the Liquid Breathwork facilitator credential. It was built for students who want to practice on real bodies in a real room before they leave. Tuition was $1,697. That cohort has concluded, and certification continues through the Phoenix in-person intensives and the 12-week online cohort.

Some places change the way Breathwork lands, and Lake Tahoe is one of them. This three-day intensive was held in South Lake Tahoe, on the California side of the lake near the Nevada border, where granite peaks meet some of the clearest water in the world and the surrender-based practice opens up in a way that is hard to recreate anywhere else. It was an in-person Breathwork certification in California where the setting was part of the experience.
Late August was the ideal window: warm days, a swimmable lake, and the quieter shoulder season, so free evenings after training gave way to real rest and connection. Getting there is simple from across California and Nevada. Reno and Truckee are a short drive away, and Reno-Tahoe airport is the closest gateway for anyone flying in. Tahoe is an easy drive from the Bay Area and Sacramento, and a direct flight or drive from Los Angeles.

Students drove and flew in from all over the region. Some of the closest cities have their own page with exact distances and routes: Carson City, Reno, Truckee, Sacramento, San Francisco and the Bay Area, San Jose, and Los Angeles.
We also welcomed students who traveled from farther out across California and Nevada, including Stockton, Modesto, Chico, Redding, Fresno, Bakersfield, Santa Cruz, and Monterey. If you are called to train with us now, certification continues through our Phoenix in-person intensives and the 12-week online cohort.
9am to 5pm. Opening circle and intentions, then the foundations of the surrender-based method: breath physiology, the nervous system, and the science of why this works. Your first guided Breathwork journey together as a group.
9am to 5pm. Facilitation skills: voice, pacing, music, and reading a room. The hands-on practicum where you guide and receive real sessions with direct feedback from Ryan and Shelby.
9am to 5pm. Safety, trauma-informed practice, and the business of Breathwork. Live facilitation, your final practicum, then credentialing and a closing circle with your new community of facilitators.
Training runs 9am to 5pm each day, so your evenings are open to rest, eat, and integrate by the lake. You book your own stay nearby and arrive each morning ready to dive back in.
This in-person Breathwork certification is for anyone drawn to the surrender-based method who wants immersive, hands-on training rather than learning over a screen. No prior Breathwork experience is required. Whether you are a yoga teacher, coach, therapist, bodyworker, or someone with no wellness background at all, we teach the method from the ground up.
The three-day intensive was built for people who learn by doing. Students practiced somatic Breathwork in the room, gave and received sessions, and got direct feedback from Ryan and Shelby. The South Lake Tahoe setting was part of the experience, not a backdrop, giving the work space to land between training days. If you are comparing in-person Breathwork certification programs, see our full Breathwork certification review for how Liquid Breathwork compares to other programs.
Some people learn best in the room, hands-on, with real participants and immediate feedback. This three-day intensive gave students that, in one of the most beautiful settings in California. The same hands-on format continues at our Phoenix intensives.
You feel pulled to guide Breathwork for others, and you want a method rooted in surrender and trust rather than forced intensity. The credential matters, but so does becoming the kind of facilitator people feel safe with.

Founder & Lead Facilitator
Ryan is the founder of Liquid Breathwork and the creator of the surrender-based methodology at the heart of this training. He has spent years guiding hundreds of people through transformative Breathwork experiences across Arizona and beyond. His facilitation style is grounded, intuitive, and deeply present. Ryan brings both the technical depth and the lived experience to teach you not just the how of Breathwork, but the why.
Co-Founder & Lead Facilitator
Shelby brings warmth, emotional intelligence, and deep somatic skill to every training. She has an exceptional ability to read the subtle language of the nervous system, recognizing when someone needs support, space, or gentle encouragement. Her training in somatic support and ethical touch practices ensures that graduates leave with the sensitivity and skill to work with clients at the body level.
You train directly with Ryan and Shelby in small cohorts, so every student gets personal attention, real practicum time, and honest feedback through all three days of training. For a full breakdown of how this program compares to other in-person and online options, see our Breathwork certification guide.
Liquid Breathwork cohorts stay small and close. You graduate with a group of facilitators who train together, support each other, and stay connected long after the training ends. These are some of the students and graduates who have trained with Ryan and Shelby.
"What a growing experience I have had the pleasure of having with Ryan. I'm so happy I took the chance to reach out when coming across him on the social platform. He has been so warm and authentic from the first moment we got introduced. I have learnt so much through his journey and greatful for him sharing it and the technique of this amazing breathwork with me. Do not hesitate, just do and let Ryan guide you."
"Ryan and Shelby are incredible! They create a very safe and supportive environment to practice Liquid Breathwork. I always get exactly what I need. I highly recommend taking a class!"
"I was so intimidated before starting and to now feel that it’s all possible feels so exciting. Super grateful for this experience!! Thank you Ryan! You’re such a gentle soul, wealth of knowledge, and make learning Breathwork fun and simplified!"
"The Liquid Breathwork Masters Course has been amazing! The videos are packed full of helpful content on the breath, as well as the more technical side of hosting Breathwork classes like audio equipment, Zoom tips, and crafting incredible playlists. The group calls are supportive and range from business growth to breaking down student’s teachings for feedback."
"The space you both created during the course felt incredibly warm, welcoming, and safe, which made it easy to stay present and engaged throughout. The simplicity of the Breathwork really stayed with me, and I've already started noticing how restorative it is. Grateful for the experience and for both of you!"
"LBW is always a worthwhile experience. Ryan and Shelby tend to always find a way to cultivate an environment that allows clients the space to identify and realize what they need. For me, it’s a perfect stage-setter in lead up to a stressful week."
We teach active release and trust, not forced intensity. The body already knows how to heal itself, and you learn to facilitate that intelligence rather than push against it.
Most trainings stop at technique. We include pricing, marketing, and client acquisition so you leave able to build a real, sustainable Breathwork practice.
You leave with mentorship from Ryan and Shelby and access to the private graduate community. The support continues long after the training ends.
Every Liquid Breathwork session is trauma-informed. For us that is not a buzzword, it is how we hold the room. You set the pace, you stay in control, and nothing is ever forced. Our work is built around going inward through gentle surrender, not outward through screaming or forced catharsis, which can be re-traumatizing in itself. That does not happen in our space. Because we move gently rather than pushing through, the nervous system is invited to soften instead of brace. We have guided hundreds of people through this work, many of them carrying real weight, and integration support is always offered. Our door stays open if you ever need to talk. You are met exactly where you are, every time.

Yes. Monthly payment plans are available so the training is reachable even if paying in full up front is not ideal. We believe finances should not be the reason someone called to this work walks away. Contact us at [email protected] or call 480-660-9890 to set up a plan that works for you.
No prior Breathwork experience is required. The training is built for complete beginners as well as yoga teachers, coaches, therapists, and bodyworkers who want to add Breathwork to their practice. We meet you where you are and teach the method from the ground up. What matters most is your willingness to do the inner work alongside the practical training.
