Registered Yoga Teachers can log this training toward Yoga Alliance® continuing education hours through the Subject Matter Expert pathway. The Milwaukee weekend is 24 live hours. Yoga Alliance asks for 30 every three years, so one trip covers most of a cycle.

We do not hold a training in Michigan. Milwaukee is the closest, and on a map it looks close. Lake Michigan sits in between, so you cross it by ferry or go around the south end through Chicago.
Muskegon is about 40 miles away, where I-96 meets the lake. The Lake Express, a high-speed ferry, covers the roughly 80 miles to Milwaukee in 2.5 hours. Walk on or bring the car. Both terminals have parking.
The 2027 schedule is not posted yet. In mid-June 2026 the boats made two round trips a day with no evening sailing. If 2027 matches, the morning boat lands after our 9am start and the last one home leaves before we finish. Cross on Thursday and sail back Monday, or take the ferry over and drive home.
The Pere Marquette leaves the Vernon J. Ehlers Station once a day. It stops in Holland and St. Joseph and reaches Chicago Union Station in about 4 hours.
From Union Station, the Hiawatha gets to Milwaukee in 1 hour 29 minutes, with 7 round trips a day (6 on Sunday). Build a night into the trip instead of betting on a tight connection.
Driving the whole way? Go around the bottom of the lake through Chicago and up into Wisconsin. Chicago traffic swings the drive time a lot, so check it for the day you leave.
Milwaukee in June runs mid 70s by day and high 50s at night. Days run a touch cooler than a Grand Rapids June, and nights feel about the same. The lake cools the Milwaukee shore, so pack a layer for evenings.
Live in Muskegon? The ferry leaves from your town, so the I-96 drive drops out of the trip. Grand Haven, where the Grand River meets Lake Michigan, is a short run up the shore to the dock. Kalamazoo and Battle Creek sit on the Wolverine, which ends at Chicago Union Station, the same building the Hiawatha leaves from. That is two trains and one change.
