Registered Yoga Teachers can log this training toward Yoga Alliance® continuing education hours through the Subject Matter Expert pathway. One weekend on the South Shore is 24 live hours, most of the 30 that Yoga Alliance asks for every three years.

We do not hold a training in Sacramento. South Lake Tahoe is the closest, and in 2027 it is our only California weekend. Drive yourself, or let the bus do the mountain.
Get on US-50 east and stay on it. The road climbs over Echo Summit, drops into Meyers, and meets SR-89 at the Y in South Lake Tahoe. About 2 hours.
Friday starts at 9am. Come up Thursday and sleep at the lake instead of racing the grade before breakfast.
Amtrak Thruway buses and El Dorado Transit both connect Sacramento to South Lake Tahoe. Same rule: ride up Thursday.
Once you are on the South Shore, Lake Link runs free on-demand rides, booked in the app.
At the end of July the lake brings highs near 80 and mornings near 40, so pack a warm layer for the first session. You will be above 6,200 feet. Drink more water than you think you need, and check AirNow.gov that week for wildfire smoke.
Bay Area teachers take I-80 to Sacramento, then the same US-50 drive, 3.5 to 4 hours in all. San Jose is about 4 hours. Each city has its own page: yoga continuing education near San Francisco and near San Jose.
There is no nonstop to Reno, so Sacramento is the easier door. Hawaiian and Southwest fly nonstop into SMF, and from the airport it is the US-50 drive up the hill.
Phoenix is a 2 hour nonstop from SMF, and it is where we are based. Our Arizona weekends run in Phoenix and Scottsdale, including February 5-7 in Scottsdale. Same three days, same 24 live hours to log. See yoga continuing education near Phoenix.
