Atlanta is our only Southeast date on the 2027 calendar. If you teach anywhere from Nashville down to Miami, it is the closest one to your mat.
Doors open at 8:45 Eastern. Coming from Central time, you lose an hour on the way in, so plan to sleep in Atlanta the night before.
From Savannah and the Georgia Coast
Savannah is about 250 miles up I-16 to Macon, then I-75 north into the city.
From Alabama and Tennessee
Birmingham is about 150 miles on I-20. Chattanooga is about 120 miles down I-75, and Knoxville is a longer haul on the same road. Nashville is about 250 miles on I-24 over Monteagle, then I-75.
Memphis is a long day: US 78 and I-22 to Birmingham, then I-20 east. Delta flies MEM nonstop, and BNA has Southwest and Delta nonstops. See Nashville and Memphis.
From the Carolinas
Charlotte is about 245 miles down I-85 through Gastonia, Spartanburg and Greenville. Delta and American fly CLT to ATL nonstop. GSP flies nonstop too, and Delta flies nonstop from Asheville and Charleston.

From Florida
Driving: Jacksonville is about 345 miles (I-10 to Lake City, then I-75 through Macon). Orlando is about 440 miles by SR 408, the Turnpike and I-75. Tampa is about 455 miles straight up I-75.
Flying is quicker. JAX is about 1 hour 15 minutes nonstop, TPA about 90 minutes, MCO under 2 hours, and MIA and FLL about 2 hours. Delta also flies PBI nonstop. See Jacksonville, Orlando, Tampa and Miami.
From New Orleans and the Gulf Coast
New Orleans is about 470 miles by car. Or skip the drive: Amtrak's Crescent runs daily from New Orleans, with a stop in Slidell, to Atlanta's Peachtree station.
MSY to ATL is about 1.5 hours nonstop on Delta, Southwest or Frontier. Delta also flies nonstop from Baton Rouge, Lafayette and Gulfport. See New Orleans.
From Texas and the Midwest
DFW, Love Field, Hobby and Bush are each about 2 hours nonstop to ATL. Austin is a little over 2 hours, and San Antonio has Southwest and Delta nonstops.
